Hey everybody, I’m back. Its time for another post. I want to talk about my experience with my internship that I am at. It is great. I have learned much here. It has been great working with the different assignments and tasks that i have been given. They have all been great to work on, especially the Bob Hall ads and Web banners. They were really fun to work on. Also, on top of working on them. They got put into the Yakima Herald and also onto their website. That was so cool, to see something that you did and then to see it actually out there in the real world. It gives you a great sense and feeling of accomplishments. I know that these are only small steps, but they are still steps. I have enjoyed it so much. It is worth doing because you gain this experience in the end. It just has been awesome and I plan to do a lot more in the future.I have posted some of the pieces that I did for Bob Hall on my wordpress under the “portfolio” sections, so please check it out and tell me what you think.

 

 

Internship

Hello. This post is for my internship. I am having such a great time over here doing my internship. I had to adapt to using a Mac ha ha. It’s all good though it was really easy to get use to using one. I have been doing some advertisements for Bob Hall Auto dealer. They got put into the Yakima Herald paper so that was pretty cool. I also did three web banners for them as well that they put onto their website. So all in all everything is going great. Well that is all I got for this post. I will write some more later on. So until then, you’ll just have to wait.

Portfolios and Internships

This week has been of the greatest I think I have had in a long time. I got my digital portfolio together and possibly landing two internships! I feel great. I love working on my portfolio because I can always improve and add on to it. Also these internship are a way to get more experience. I know that this is and will be great opportunities for me. I love to learn new things as it helps me to work with different medias and can create new projects for me. Also my portfolio will greatly increase with new pieces of art and work projects that I do later on that I can put into my ever growing portfolio. I know that it is one of the main things that will help me as a Graphic Designer. I am just so happy to be learning all that I can and absorb information that relates to me and my direction as a Designer.

Digital Portfolio

Well it is getting close to the day of graduation and I’m excited. We are getting ready to put everything we have into one place and turn it into a huge portfolio piece. It is going to take a lot of work but it will worth it in the end. I am excited to do this because it is a great way to show my work that I have done and be able to have people look at it and give me feed back on it. Also it is also another way to have other artists look at it and maybe run the chance of them hiring you to work for them and their company. It is reall great to just do work and have it shown in print and digital form so I can also improve a=on my skills and just keep on creating new art pieces and just add those to my portfolio to have it grow and just keep on growing to have a great piece that I can show to many people and artists in the world. I also enjoy doing this work because it is what I am. I am a graphic artist and I will always be one and that I am very proud of it. That is it for this week.

Thats A Wrap

Hello there. Once again I am writing another blog. This one is about wrapping upmy project with the renaissance. I found this project to be very enjoyable. It had moments where I didn’t really care for it but in the end it turned out alright. I feel very accomplished with this project. It was a great one because it had som many elements to bring together into one final piece. In the end, I think I pulled it off. I am very happy with the end result. It took a lot of time and knuckling down to get it down but I made it. I think this is gonna be one of those projects that I can easily look back on and feel glad that I did it and did it well. I had some stressful moments but I pushed through them. I think this is also on of my projects that when I look at it I can but a smile on my face and just admire the shear determination that went into this one. All in all I had a great time and I know that this is only a small step in my graphic design skill. There are and will be many more that I will come to face and when I do, I will know that I have the skills neccesary to exceed those tasks.

What if

What if. This week we where given a history piece and had to create an advertisment for a modern day technology piece and make it look like it was advertised in that time period. I liked this project. I did have a hard time to start off because I didn’t know where to start my project piece or what technology to even use, but then I got the hang of it and was able to sketch out some drawing ideas out for it. I think it was pretty cool that I got the renaissance for my what if. I like how my rough drawings turned out, but they still are in the part of finalizing them, but I’ll get there. When I get this project done it will look cool I think. It would be funny to see how they would of used this technology back in that time period. I think it would be cool just to see what steps they would of used to be able to make a prototype. Also to see how many times it would blow up and fail until they got the final output that they would be looking for. Well that will wrap it up for this week and this post.
